Little Hatchlings
I’ve been enjoying my Red Ear Slider hatchlings. I realized, after a couple of days with them, that it’s a sensory experience. I definitely enjoy everything about our little pond.. the sound of the waterfall and the little fish swimming around are very relaxing. But surprising to me, watching and holding the little hatchlings has been a favorite part of my day. Their cool skin, hard shells and prickly claws provide a lot of sensory comfort. Different than my puppy companions. But it is so cute, when I scratch their heads, and they stretch their necks waaayyyy out. How do you find moments to slow down and relax?
